Built by a family from Australia, The Li'l Aussie Hut is their unique beachfront "tree house" home with guesthouse hostel facilities in scenic Playa Marsella, Nicaragua.

The two-storey eco friendly "Robinson Crusoe" hut is made from traditional Nicaraguan building materials of timber, bamboo and palm. All under one giant thatched roof, the open air tropical design allows the sea breezes to pass right through.

Playa Marsella is quiet, tranquil and strikingly beautiful with a long, white sandy beach stretching from one end of the bay to the other. The beach is bordered by cliffs which taper to the water’s edge housing rock pools at low tide full of tiny fish and sea going critters. In the middle of the bay the large rock formation, shaped like a submarine, is a well-known vista and is featured in many sunset photos.

Being so close to the ocean, seafood is a specialty at restaurants in the area, along with a variety of beef and chicken dishes cooked Nica style with all the local trimmings.
